Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash at Vista Way
VISTA, CA (July 27, 2021) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident at Vista Way and Arcadia Avenue Sunday.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the deadly pedestrian crash happened around 11:30 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a white Lexus, believed to be an IS300, struck a man while heading southbound on Vista Way. Per reports, the pedestrian was crossing the street at the time of the impact.
Soon after, paramedics reached the scene and transported the victim to Palomar Medical Center Escondido where he died at 12:05 a.m.
At this time, detectives need the public’s help in identifying the hit-and-run driver of the Lexus. If anyone has pertinent information surrounding this crash, please reach out to the San Diego police.
