Man Killed in Woodland Hills Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Ventura Boulevard

 
WOODLAND HILLS, CA (February 23, 2022) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Ventura Boulevard at Ponce Avenue on Sunday evening.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a 35-year-old man began crossing outside of a marked crosswalk. Subsequently, an oncoming driver struck the pedestrian and fled the scene shortly thereafter.
 
After 6:03 p.m., paramedics responded to the scene but pronounced the victim dead. His name has not been released at this time.
 
Although the suspect fled, officers were able to locate the address of the registered owner of the car. After investigations, police arrested a 44-year-old man. Yet, they have to confirm whether he had been the registered owner of the vehicle.
