Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Oxnard Street

 
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA (September 28, 2021) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Oxnard Street near Farmdale Avenue Saturday night.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the deadly incident occurred around 9:43 p.m. For unknown reasons, a van driver struck a 55-year-old North Hollywood man crossing Oxnard Street mid-block.
 
The driver of the van fled westward without stopping to help the victim.
 
Shortly after, Los Angeles Fire Department arrived and transported the victim to a hospital where he died, despite having received life-saving care.
 
At this time, authorities have not confirmed the identities of the hit-and-run suspect and the victim. However, any witnesses with information about the suspect’s whereabouts can contact the LAPD, who is offering a reward of up to $50,000.
