Man Killed in San Jose DUI Single-Car Crash on White Road

 
SAN JOSE, CA (February 14, 2022) — A man died in a DUI solo-car accident on White Road at Castleton Drive on Sunday night.
 
According to San Jose police, the fatal car accident happened around 11:46 p.m. For DUI-related reasons, a woman driving a 2000 Toyota sedan northbound on White Road lost control of the vehicle. Subsequently, the Toyota crashed into a tree at the intersection, causing severe injuries to both the woman and her male passenger.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded and brought both patients to a nearby hospital where the man died.
 
Following the crash, police interviewed the female driver who showed signs of intoxication. After suspecting DUI, officers booked her into Santa Clara County jail for vehicular manslaughter and felony driving under the influence charges.
