Man Dies in Lake Isabella Solo-Car Crash on Rancheria Road

 
LAKE ISABELLA, CA (July 28, 2021) — A man died in a solo-car accident on Rancheria Road near Highway 178.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 19-year-old Bakersfield man driving a Land Rover lost control of the vehicle. As a result, the vehicle slammed into a mountainside and overturned.
 
Tragically, the driver suffered fatal injuries while his 20-year-old male passenger sustained major injuries.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and transported the surviving occupant to Kern medical for treatment.
 
At this time, authorities have not confirmed the cause or the details prior to the impact. Although, witnesses with information should call the CHP.
