Man Killed, Others Hurt after Rollover Accident on Avenue 300 near Highway 198

 
EXETER, CA (December 20, 2021) — A 44-year-old man died following a rollover crash on Avenue 300 on Saturday, December 11.
 
The incident occurred on Avenue 300 west of Highway 198, east of Exeter shortly before 3:00 a.m.
 
According to California Highway Patrol officers, the driver struck the puddle of standing water on Avenue 300. Then he lost control of the car.
 
The vehicle rolled over and landed in an orchard. The impact ejected the victim, who was a passenger in the car.
 
He succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
 
There were four other occupants in the vehicle – two adults and two children. They had minor injuries and medics rushed them to the Kaweah Health Medical Center.
 
Officials said the deceased did not wear his seatbelt.
 
The CHP says drugs or alcohol did not contribute to the crash.
