Man Fatally Struck in Amtrak Train Accident on Commerce Drive and Northport Drive
SACRAMENTO, CA (November 23, 2021) — A pedestrian died after an Amtrak train crash on Commerce Drive on Sunday, November 21.
The collision happened shortly after 8:00 p.m. in the area of Commerce Drive and Northport Drives.
West Sacramento police say officers rushed to the scene and found a man dead.
After an investigation with Amtrak staff, police said they determined a Sacramento-bound Amtrak train had struck the man.
Police noted that the area was closed off by fencing and is not for pedestrian use.
Officials have not yet released the name of the man at this point.
