Early Morning Pedestrian Accident on Barranca Parkway in Tustin Leaves Victim in Critical Condition

 
TUSTIN, CA (March 23, 2022) – A man was critically injured in a pedestrian accident on Barranca Parkway in Tustin, early Sunday morning.
 
The accident happened around 1:27 a.m. on March 20 just east of Red Hill Avenue. According to the CHP, the male pedestrian was walking outside of the crosswalk in the 1600 block of Barranca Parkway when a vehicle struck him.
 
When officers arrived, they found the victim lying down in the westbound lanes. Paramedics transported him to OC Global Medical Center in critical condition.
 
Meanwhile, the involved driver remained on scene and cooperated officers.
 
Drugs or alcohol did not appear to be a factor. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
