Pedestrian Suffers Critical Injuries after Hit by Trash Truck near South Airport Way in Manteca

 
MANTECA, CA (April 28, 2022) – A man suffered critical injuries in a pedestrian accident near South Airport Way, early Monday morning.
 
The accident happened just before 5:00 a.m. on April 25 at Yosemite Avenue. According to the Manteca Police Department, the male pedestrian was walking in the area when a City of Manteca solid waste truck hit him.
 
As a result, the victim suffered severe injuries. Responding paramedics rushed him to a hospital in critical condition.
 
It is unknown if the driver of the truck has stayed after the crash. An investigation is still ongoing.
