Man Airlifted after Motorcycle Accident on R Street [Merced, CA]

36-Year-Old Man Seriously Injured after Motorcycle Accident on R Street near West 3rd Street

 
MERCED, CA (November 29, 2021) – A 36-year-old man sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle accident on R Street, late Friday morning.
 
According to the Merced Police Department, the incident happened on November 26, at about 11:12 a.m. A black Cadillac sedan reportedly made a northbound turn onto R Street. Then, the sedan collided with the southbound motorcycle near West 3rd Street.
 
An air ambulance transported the rider to a Modesto-area hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Cadillac remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
Merced police ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors in the collision. Officers continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
