Malcolm Erbst Dies in Fontana Crash Involving Pickup Truck and Ambulance
FONTANA, CA (November 30, 2021) – Malcolm Erbst was killed in an accident in southern Fontana Friday morning.
The fatal accident happened around 10:20 a.m. on November 26, in the 13000 block of Jurupa Avenue. According to the Fontana Police Department, Erbst was driving a pickup truck when he collided with an American Medical Response ambulance for unknown reasons.
The pickup truck then overturned, trapping Erbst and a dog inside.
Erbs, a 68-year-old Apple Valley resident, died at the scene. The dog had significant injuries and was put to sleep on the scene by an animal control officer.
Meanwhile, the paramedics inside the ambulance sustained moderate injuries.
Further investigation of this fatal crash is underway.
