53-Year-Old Lorraine Naranjo Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in South Whittier

 
SOUTH WHITTIER, CA (July 21, 2022) – Lorraine Naranjo was killed in a hit-and-run crash in South Whittier late Monday evening, July 18.
 
The fatal crash happened around 10:15 p.m. in the 14300 block of Leffingwell Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, Naranjo was walking in a crosswalk when a white Mercedes-Benz struck her.
 
The impact caused 53-year-old Naranjo fatal injuries and she died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Mercedes sped off and ditched their car about two miles away from the crime scene, where they fled on foot.
 
At this time, the hit-and-run suspect remains at large. CHP officials are still investigating the fatality.
