Two-Car Accident on Day Street in Moreno Valley Kills 17-Year-Old Driver Logan Edwards

 
MORENO VALLEY, CA (May 27, 2021) -A 17-year-old Winchester teen died Wednesday afternoon in a Moreno Valley crash after a driver ran through a stop sign.
 
Logan Edwards died at the crash, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
 
The accident happened around 3:10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the driver of a 2014 Toyota Corolla went through the intersection of Day Street and Bay Avenue at a high rate of speed. The Corolla plowed into the driver’s side of Edwards’ 2012 Ford Edge, causing the boy’s vehicle to smash into a fence.
 
Despite life-saving measures by first responders, Edwards succumbed to his injuries at the crash scene.
 
The Corolla driver sustained moderate injuries and was hospitalized. No arrests have been made at this time.
 
It is unclear whether drugs or alcohol are factors. However, the crash remains under investigation.
