59-Year-Old Woman Dies Two Weeks after Crash Involving 3 Cars in Santa Maria

 
SANTA MARIA, CA (June 19, 2023)Leticia Rivera Aguilar died in a three-car accident in Santa Maria Thursday on June 1.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:00 p.m. in the 2600 block of Mahoney Road, about half-a-mile north of Black Road. According to the Santa Maria Police Department, three cars collided in the area in unclear circumstances.
 
Aguilar was airlifted to Cottage Hospital with significant injuries. Three other people were taken by ambulance to local hospitals with unspecified injuries.
 
After almost two weeks on June 13, Aguilar died at the hospital. She was a 59-year-old Santa Maria resident, according to the Santa Barbara County Coroner’s Office.
 
At this time, police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
