Larry Godbold Arrested in Fatal DUI Crash on 5 Freeway [Sacramento, CA]

Larry Godbold Detained in Deadly DUI Accident on 5 Freeway near Seamas Avenue

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (March 30, 2021) — Larry Godbold faces charges in a fatal DUI crash on the 5 Freeway near Seamas Avenue Saturday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly accident happened around 11:40 p.m. While heading north on the freeway, 46-year-old Godbold struck a tow truck vehicle and its driver. Per investigations, Godbold was in the No. 4 northbound lane before his Town and Country minivan struck the victim.
 
As a result, the unidentified tow truck driver was thrown into the northbound lanes and died soon after. Following the accident, Godbold remained at the scene for police questioning.
 
As of now, he remains under arrest on suspicion of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter. However, if anyone has more information to add on this fatal crash, please contact the CHP.
