LAPD Officer Struck by Vehicle on Figueroa Street in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 5, 2021) – Paramedics sent an LAPD officer to the hospital following a pedestrian accident on Figueroa Street on May 4.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the intersection of 110th Street around 9:35 PM.
Prior to that, the officer was part of a search team for a man with a gun on the road. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle came and struck the victim.
As a result, the police officer sustained injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported the patient to the hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the identity of the officer.
Ultimately, the Los Angeles Police Department said the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the officers at the scene.
