Hit-and-Run Driver Kristalinna Pacheco Arrested after Killing Haolan Chen
MILPITAS, CA, CA (February 3, 2021) – Kristalinna Pacheco is now in police custody following a fatal hit-and-run accident on North Park Victoria Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Kennedy Drive on the afternoon of January 18.
Based on a report, Milpitas Police officers spotted a stolen Lexus used in an armed robbery at the Shoe Palace. It was traveling at a high rate of speed and the police did not attempt to stop it. Subsequently, it traveled through the stop sign and struck a boy in the crosswalk. The vehicle did not stop after the impact.
As a result, the seven-year-old boy died at the scene. His father identified the boy as Haolan Chen. He was riding a bicycle at the time of the crash.
The driver of the vehicle, Pacheco then attempted to flee the scene on foot. However, officers arrested her on charges of homicide, hit and run causing injury or death, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
