Keonia Brown Dies after Car Crashes Into Home in Moreno Valley

 
MORENO VALLEY, CA (April 13, 2022) — Keonia Brown died Monday night after a car crashed into a house on Indian Street near Ironwood Avenue.
 
According to Sgt. Robert Grmusha, the fatal car accident occurred around 11:15 p.m. in the 11900 block of Indian Street. For unknown reasons, a driver operating a 2003 Acura MDX, moving northbound on Indian Street at a high rate of speed, crossed into the southbound lanes. Subsequently, the Acura struck a curb, went airborne and crashed into a parked Chevrolet Silverado and then into a garage of a house.
 
As a result of the accident, 40-year-old Keonia Selena Brown — an occupant of the Acura — suffered fatal injuries in the crash and died at the scene.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and brought the Acura driver whom firefighters freed from the wreckage to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley with major injuries.
 
Fortunately, no one inside the house was harmed. However, officials had to red-tag the house due to its poor structural integrity following the accident.
 
At this time, officers reported no information on what led to the accident and other factors. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm any outstanding details.
