53-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle at Shaw and Marty Avenues

 
FRESNO, CA (January 11, 2022) – Karamjit Singh was killed in a pedestrian accident in northwest Fresno, early Monday morning.
 
The accident happened around 3:30 a.m. on January 10, near the intersection of Shaw Avenue and Marty Avenue in front of an Applebee’s restaurant. According to the Fresno Police Department, the 53-year-old Fresno man was walking in the area when a vehicle struck him.
 
Responding paramedics found Singh lying unconscious on the ground. They attempted saving him, but he died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the involved driver remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
Police said drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash. They asked anyone with further information to call them at 559-621-7000.
