Juan Valencia Injured, Sesar Diaz-Ruvalcaba Arrested in DUI Car Accident on Highway 32 [Chico, CA]

Juan Valencia Hurt, Sesar Diaz-Ruvalcaba Detained in DUI 2-Car Crash on Highway 32 near Highway 99

 
CHICO, CA (September 16, 2022) — Juan Valencia was injured in a DUI two-car accident on Highway 32 near Highway 99 on Thursday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle collision happened around 5:00 a.m.
 
For unknown reasons, 25-year-old Sesar Diaz-Ruvalcaba drove his 2013 Nissan Sentra through a red traffic light at an intersection and struck a 2019 Chevrolet Chico Police emergency car.
 
As a result of the crash, Diaz-Ruvalcaba and the 24-year-old officer, Valencia, suffered minor injuries in the accident. Investigations proved that Valencia was headed westbound in his patrol vehicle through a green traffic light at the time of the incident.
 
Following an investigation, authorities arrested Diaz-Ruvalcaba on suspected DUI charges. If anyone has more information on this crash, please call the Chico police.
