Juan Morales Hurt after Semi-Truck Crashes into Car on Highway 111

 
IMPERIAL COUNTY, CA (February 3, 2021) – Police identified Juan Morales as the man who suffered injuries in a fatal semi-truck accident on Highway 111.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Schartz Road at approximately 10:18 AM on January 26.
 
Based on a report, Juan Morales tried to stop his tractor-trailer but failed. Subsequently, the truck plowed into the left side of a 2013 Fiat that drove straight into its path.
 
As a result, a 22-year-old Calexico woman died from blunt-force trauma injuries. However, officials did not yet release her name pending kin notification.
 
47-year-old Morales of Yuma complained of pain and is now recovering in El Centro Regional Medical Center.
