Motorcyclist Suffers Serious Injuries after Merced Hit-and-Run on Yosemite Parkway, Joseph Alexander Arrested
MERCED, CA (March 29, 2021) – 22-year-old Joseph Alexander was arrested after a hit-and-run Thursday afternoon in Merced.
The crash happened around 2:00 p.m. in the 2000 block of Yosemite Parkway. According to the Merced Police Department, Alexander was driving a vehicle when he struck a motorcycle. He then fled the scene without rendering aid.
When officers arrived, they located the motorcycle and an adult male in the roadway. The rider suffered major injuries and was flown to an area hospital for treatment.
After obtaining a description and partial license plate for the vehicle, an officer located the suspect on Highway 140 at Dale Avenue and arrested him.
