Motorcyclist Jose Rodriguez Dies after Colliding with Sedan in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 7, 2022) – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident at Harris Road and Old River Road on Sunday, March 13.
 
The victim was identified as 58-year-old Jose Zarate Rodriguez of Bakersfield, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
 
The accident happened just before 8:00 p.m. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, Rodriguez was riding his mini-motorcycle in the area of Harris Road and Old River Road when he was hit by a sedan.
 
As a result, Rodriguez suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver of the sedan stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
 
According to police, the mini-motorcycle was not street legal and did not have lights on at the time of the crash.
