Jose Armando Colorado Vazquez Dies after DUI Crash at McKee Road and South Union Avenue

 
EAST BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 21, 2021) – Authorities identified 20-year-old Jose Armando Colorado Vazquez of Bakersfield as the victim killed in a DUI crash on McKee Road, Sunday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on October 17. A 2006 Nissan Pathfinder reportedly failed to yield and made a left turn from South Union Avenue to McKee Road. There, the vehicle collided with a 2001 Acura.
 
Emergency crews transported the Acura driver, later identified as Vazquez, to Kern Medical for treatment of major injuries. Unfortunately, Vazquez was later pronounced dead.
 
Authorities arrested the Nissan driver, identified as 47-year-old Jose Izadeles, on suspicion of driving under the influence.
 
Emergency responders temporarily closed the northbound lanes of South Union Avenue at McKee Road to make way for an investigation.
