Passenger Dies after SUV Broadsides Pickup Truck on Golden State Avenue at Q Street

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 30, 2021) – Jose Antonio Cedillos Sr. died in a broadside crash in Central Bakersfield on Sunday afternoon.
 
The fatal crash happened just after 12:45 p.m. on November 28 at Golden State Avenue and Q Street. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, an SUV broadsided a pickup truck for unknown reasons.
 
Cedillos, a 38-year-old Bakersfield resident, was a passenger in the pickup truck. He suffered severe injuries and died at the hospital, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
 
The driver of the pickup truck suffered moderate injuries and was hospitalized.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV was unharmed. He stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
