Authorities Identify Jose Arrizon Jr. and Leeroy Carralez in Stanislaus County Accident
STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (March 12, 2021) – Authorities have released the names of the two men who died in a head-on accident Monday afternoon on a stretch of rural road between Patterson and Turlock.
The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office identified them as 34-year-old Jose Arrizon Jr. and 81-year-old Leeroy Carralez. Both were Patterson residents.
According to the CHP, the accident happened around at 12:35 p.m., March 8 on West Main Street just south of Carpenter Road.
CHP officers said Carralez drove a silver Chevrolet Silverado while Arrizon drove a black Chevrolet Malibu. They determined that one of the vehicles veered into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with the other.
As a result, both drivers suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation has not yet determined which driver veered out of his lane. It is also unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
