Jose Acosta-Ramirez Dies in 2-Car Crash on 80 Freeway at 680 Freeway Connector

 
FAIRFIELD, CA (December 8, 2022) Jose Acosta-Ramirez died in a two-car accident on the 80 Freeway at the 680 Freeway connector.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly two-vehicle collision happened around 4:18 p.m. Saturday. For unknown reasons, two cars crashed at the 80 and 680 Freeway connectors. A 22-year-old man, later identified by the Solano County coroner’s office as Jose Acosta-Ramirez, died at the scene.
 
Authorities responded soon after and found him while CHP issued a SigAlert, blocking two freeway lanes. By 6:22 p.m., authorities re-opened all the lanes.
 
It’s unclear what led to the crash, but an ongoing investigation should confirm the details.
