Jorge Castaneda Detained in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 41 near Santa Rosa Road

 
ATASCADERO, CA (September 22, 2021) — Jorge Castaneda faces charges in a deadly hit-and-run accident on Highway 41 near Santa Rosa Road Sunday.
 
According to police, the fatal incident happened around 7:40 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a Jeep SUV crossed into the oncoming lane and struck another vehicle.
 
Subsequently, the Jeep driver, later identified as 26-year-old Castaneda, fled the scene, leaving the occupants of the other car with minor to moderate wounds.
 
Tragically, a pedestrian who had been struck by the Paso Robles man’s Jeep died in the crash. However, the details as to how that unfolded require further investigation.
