Motorcyclist Jon Sherwood Killed, Mia Perry Involved in DUI Accident on Pierson Boulevard in Whitewater

 
WHITEWATER, CA (October 25, 2021) – Police identified Jon Sherwood as the rider who died in a DUI accident on Pierson Boulevard on October 22.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Highway 62 shortly after 10:00 PM.
 
Based on an initial report, a Toyota Solara was traveling near the intersection prior to the crash. Subsequently, it tried to cross the street and failed to stop at the traffic signs. Then, the victim’s Harley-Davidson crashed directly into the vehicle.
 
As a result, the motorcycle rider died in the incident. As of now, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Coroner Office has identified the victim as 55-year-old Jon Sherwood.
 
Afterward, officials arrested the driver of the Toyota, 23-year-old Mia Perry. Officers said the cases involved suspicion of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. Also, no other details are available.
