Johnny Contreras Dies after Thousand Palms Car Accident

 
THOUSAND PALMS, CA (May 25, 2021) – Police confirmed that one person died in a crash on Ramon Road on May 14.
 
Police identified the deceased victim as 29-year-old Cathedral City resident Johnny Contreras.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision on Ramon Road, east of Vista De Oro around 3:00 PM. However, the circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear.
 
When officials arrived at the scene, they pronounced Contreras dead.
 
Two others were also hospitalized for treatment of injuries described as moderate at the time, according to Cal Fire. Their names were not provided, nor were any updates on their conditions given.
 
At this point, this crash is still under investigation. However, no other details are available.
