Coroner Identifies Man Killed in Dublin Rollover Crash on 680 Freeway near Alcosta Boulevard

 
DUBLIN, CA (November 9, 2021)John Reiman was killed in a rollover accident on 680 Freeway in Dublin Friday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 6:00 a.m. on November 5, along the southbound lanes of the freeway, just south of Alcosta Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, Reiman was driving a Honda Civic when he sideswiped a big rig in the fourth lane.
 
The impact caused Reiman to lose control, cross all lanes of traffic, before crashing into the center divider.
 
The driver of the big rig continued to drive, unaware of the crash, officials said.
 
Moments later, a Ford pickup truck drove into the area and crashed into the Honda.
 
As a result, Reiman suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 60-year-old Dublin resident, according to the Alameda County Coroner’s Office.
 
It is unknown if the driver of the Ford has stayed after the crash. Further investigation is underway.
