Coroner Identifies John Ople as Victim of Fatal Multi-Vehicle Accident in Cerritos
CERRITOS, CA (December 20, 2021) – John Ople died in a multi-vehicle accident in Cerritos, early Friday morning.
The accident happened around 4:29 a.m. on December 17 at Shoemake Boulevard and Artesia Freeway. The CHP said several vehicles collided in the area for unknown reasons.
When officers arrived, they found Ople dead inside one of the vehicles. He was 33 years old, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office. His hometown was not immediately available.
The crash closed the 91 Freeway for more than an hour and the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
