John Davis Suspected in Hit-and-Run on Solano Street [Corning, CA]

Police Suspect John Davis as Driver of Hit-and-Run Vehicle that Struck Pedestrian in Corning

 
CORNING, CA (July 20, 2022) – Police suspected John Davis as a possible driver of a hit-and-run vehicle that struck a pedestrian in Corning on Sunday morning.
 
The crash happened 7:30 a.m. on July 17, in the area of Solano Street and Fairview Avenue. According to the Corning Police Department, a silver 2006 Mercedes-Benz struck the 71-year-old male pedestrian.
 
After striking the victim, the vehicle fled the scene.
 
First responders found the pedestrian lying in the roadway with a head injury. They took him to a hospital in stable condition.
 
Based on the licensed plate seen in a surveillance video, police were able to identity the possible driver.
 
Davis, a 52-year-old Los Molinos resident, is now wanted for questioning.
 
Police asked anyone with information about Davis’ whereabouts to call them at 530-824-7000.
