Joey Guerrero Hurt in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 at Highway 140

 
MERCED, CA (December 13, 2021) — Joey Guerrero was injured in a pedestrian accident on Highway 99 at Highway 140 on Wednesday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident happened around 4:05 p.m. For unknown reasons, 33-year-old Guerrero, of Fresno, began crossing the on-ramp wearing dark clothing. Subsequently, a driver in a 2006 Ford F-150 driving about 30 miles per hour entered the Highway 99 on-ramp from Highway 140.
 
According to an investigation, the driver had no time to react to the pedestrian before hitting him. Soon after, emergency personnel arrived and transported Guerrero to Mercy Medical Center in Merced with a broken leg.
 
Meanwhile, officers interviewed the driver and ruled out DUI.
