Job Williams Detained in Police Chase Crash at Monroe Street and Highway 111

 
INDIO, CA (September 15, 2022) — 26-year-old Job Adante Williams of Blythe was arrested in a police chase accident at Monroe Street and Highway 111.
 
According to the Indio Police Department, the incident occurred around 9:35 a.m. on Sunday.
 
Upon responding to a call about individuals loitering in front of a business, an officer learned that Williams had multiple drug-related warrants for his arrest. Subsequently, the officer tried to arrest him, but Williams left on foot.
 
During the chase, an oncoming vehicle struck the officer at Highway 111 at Monroe Street. Paramedics arrived soon after and brought him to a hospital with unspecified injuries while the driver cooperated with police.
 
By 9:50 a.m., police arrested Williams on suspicion of resisting arrest and for having active warrants.
