Jimmy Saravia Injured in Fatal Head-On Crash on Highway 33 [Fresno County, CA]

Jimmy Saravia Hospitalized in Deadly Head-On Accident on Highway 33 near Shaw Avenue

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (February 3, 2023) — Jimmy Saravia suffered minor injuries in a fatal head-on crash on Highway 33 near Shaw Avenue.
 
According to a California Highway Patrol news release, the deadly two-vehicle crash happened around 11:04 p.m. Friday. For unknown reasons, a northbound Ford, occupied by a woman and a man, drifted into the southbound lane. Subsequently, 19-year-old Jimmy Saravia, unable to avoid the vehicle, crashed into the Ford with his car while towing a two-axle flatbed trailer loaded with fertilizer.
 
Tragically, the two Ford occupants died in the accident. Officials will release their names once they notify their families.
 
Saravia, of Mendota, reported only minor injuries and pain.
 
In their investigation, authorities did not suspect alcohol or drugs to have played a factor in the crash. Although, if anyone has more information, please call the CHP.
