Katherine Hermoza, Jimmy Alarco Die in Concord Car Crash into Light Pole

 
CONCORD, CA (November 18, 2021) — Two people died in a solo-car accident on Port Chicago Highway in Concord on Monday, November 1.
 
Emergency personnel responded at 1:45 a.m. Monday to northbound Port Chicago Highway near High School Avenue, where a car had collided with a light pole.
 
The front passenger of the car, identified by the Contra Costa County coroner’s office as 51-year-old Katherine Hermoza of Concord, died at the scene.
 
The driver, identified as 37-year-old Jimmy Tello Alarco of Concord, was rushed to a hospital. However, he died later that day.
 
Northbound Port Chicago Highway was closed for several hours as the fatal incident was investigated.
