Jesus Zuniga Dies in Fairfield Pedestrian Crash on 80 Freeway near Travis Boulevard

 
FAIRFIELD, CA (January 20, 2022) — Jesus Zuniga died in a pedestrian accident on the 80 Freeway near Travis Boulevard on Saturday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 9:30 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver in a Chevrolet Camaro struck 38-year-old Jesus Jaime Zuniga as he tried crossing the highway.
 
Shortly after, emergency personnel reached the scene and brought the Woodland man to NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield. However, despite having received life-saving efforts, Zuniga succumbed to his injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the 33-year-old Camaro driver suffered no injuries in the accident and cooperated with the investigation.
 
At this time, the Zuniga family has created a GoFundMe page to raise funds for Jesus’ memorial. Thus, anyone willing to help can do so.
