Jerry Wallace Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash on Union Avenue at Columbus Street

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 30, 2021) — Jerry Wallace died in a hit-and-run accident on Union Avenue at Columbus Street.
 
According to Bakersfield Police, the fatal hit-and-run happened on September 21. Under unclear circumstances, a driver of an unknown make and model collided with the passenger side of a vehicle, driven by Jerry Wesley Wallace.
 
Instead of pulling over, the driver fled the scene and left the 74-year-old with grave injuries. Soon after, paramedics reached the site and took Wallace to Kern Medical, where he died the following evening.
