Jeffrey Sutch Dies in Overturned Semi-Truck Crash on 15 Freeway near 8 Freeway

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 28, 2022) — Jeffrey James Sutch died in an overturned semi-truck accident on the 15 Freeway near the 8 Freeway on February 22.
 
According to reports, the fatal semi-truck accident happened around 6:15 p.m. Sutch was operating a UPS semi-tractor pulling a semi-trailer. Due to rain-slick road conditions, the 51-year-old reportedly lost control of the wheel.
 
Subsequently, the semi-truck slid side to side on the freeway, causing the vehicle to fishtail and leave the road before it struck a eucalyptus tree and overturned.
 
Soon after, firefighter-paramedics responded to the scene to find Sutch, who did not survive the accident. At this time, officers cannot confirm whether alcohol or drugs played a factor. However, they have a toxicology report pending to determine the details.
