Jeffrey Latta Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 130 [Mount Hamilton, CA]

Rider Dies after Colliding with Sedan on Highway 130 near Kincaid Road

 
MOUNT HAMILTON, CA (February 2, 2021) – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident Saturday, January 23 in Mount Hamilton.
 
The accident happened around 2:50 p.m. on Highway 130, just east of Kincaid Road.
 
CHP officials said 49-year-old Jeffey Michael Latta of Novato was riding a 1999 Suzuki west on the highway when he drifted across the double yellow lines at a curve. He then collided with an oncoming Chevrolet Volt.
 
As a result, Latta sustained significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The driver of the Volt remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
