Car Accident on Millerton Road in Fresno County Kills 5, Severely Injures 2
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (February 7, 2022) – Javier Hernandez, Miguel Tijerina, Marcelino Ramirez, John Carlin and Ramandeep Sran died in a two-car accident in Fresno County, early Saturday morning.
The fatal accident happened just before 4:30 a.m. on February 5 in the area of Millerton Road and Marina Drive. In addition, the location was near Millerton Lake, just a few miles down the road from Table Mountain Casino.
CHP officials said a gray Hyundai and a white Honda collided for unknown reasons. As a result, five people suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Two others had critical injuries and were taken to Community Regional Medical Center.
Hernandez was a 20-year-old Lemoore resident, Tijerina was 43-years-old from Clovis, Ramirez was 32 from Clovis, Carlin was a 28-year-old Fresno resident, and Sran was 48-years-old from Kerman.
Hernandez, Tijerina, Ramirez, and Carlin all worked together at a local business. Ramirez’s family has set up a GoFundMe for funeral services.
One of the injured victims was Jugjeet Muhar. However, police did not provide an update.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
