Bicyclist Dies after Struck by Car on Mission Boulevard near Tyrolite Street

 
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (January 2, 2022) – Jason Navoy was killed in a bicycle accident in Jurupa Valley Thursday two weeks ago.
 
The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. on December 23, in the 8000 block of Mission Boulevard near Tyrolite Street. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Navoy was riding his bicycle eastbound on Mission when a compact sedan approached him from behind and struck him.
 
Responding paramedics attempted saving Navoy, but he died at the scene. He was a 45-year-old Jurupa Valley resident.
 
According to the sheriff’s department, deputies questioned the driver, who was not hurt and stopped immediately after hitting the victim.
 
At this time, the accident is still under investigation. Deputies asked witnesses to call the sheriff’s Jurupa Valley station at 951-955-2600.
