Jaron King Tries to Hit Pedestrians at Parking Lot near Nut Tree Road and Elmira Road

 
VACAVILLE, CA (November 29, 2021) — Jaron King tried to hit pedestrians at a parking lot near Nut Tree Road and Elmira Road, Sunday evening.
 
According to the Vacaville Police Department, the incident happened around 6:30 p.m. when officers began receiving calls about a driver in a white hatchback Scion driving recklessly. Not long after, officers responded to the Walmart neighborhood parking lot at Nut Tree Road and Elmira Road to find the white car.
 
According to Vacaville police, 34-year-old King tried running over pedestrians near the Wal-Mart. Subsequently, King led police on a chase on the 80 Freeway at highway speeds.
 
Soon after, California Highway Patrol took over the pursuit, which reached West Sacramento where King’s vehicle began smoking. Although he tried to flee on foot, King was captured and taken into custody before being treated at a hospital for injuries.
 
At this time, officers would like to speak to the pedestrians nearly hit by King. Thus, any witnesses with information should call the CHP.
