Palmdale Car Accident Kills 45-Year-Old James Llewellyn

 
PALMDALE, CA (April 6, 2022) – James Llewellyn was killed in a two-car accident in Palmdale, early Friday morning.
 
The accident happened around 4:47 a.m. on April 1 in the area of 25th Street East near Avenue R. According to reports of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau, Llewellyn was driving a black 2017 Ford Focus westbound on Avenue R when he made a right turn onto 25th Street East from a red signal.
 
He immediately made a U-turn in front of a 2016 Toyota Camry that was traveling northbound through the intersection on a yellow or green signal.
 
The Camry struck the driver’s side of the Focus, causing Llewellyn significant injuries.
 
Despite life-saving efforts, Llewellyn died at the scene. He was a 45-year-old Palmdale resident, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
 
The Camry’s female driver and her minor passenger were transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be a factor in the crash. An investigation is underway.
