James Gatson Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Highland Avenue near Cedar Street

 
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (August 18, 2022)— James Gatson died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Highland Avenue near Cedar Street on Sunday.
 
According to San Bernardino Police, the fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened around 4:37 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver heading eastbound on Highland Avenue struck 46-year-old Gatson, who was traveling northbound in his wheelchair.
 
The driver fled the scene immediately after the impact leaving Gatson with fatal wounds.
