Jamal Garrett Dies, Car Hits Fresno Garbage Truck on Chestnut Avenue and Lane Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (August 12, 2022) — Jamal Garrett died after his car crashed into a garbage truck on Chestnut Avenue and Lane Avenue on Thursday morning.
 
According to the Fresno Police Department, the fatal two-vehicle accident occurred around 9:00 a.m. Garrett was reportedly speeding down Lane Avenue in a white Buick before his vehicle crashed into the front end of the garbage truck.
 
Due to the impact, the car spun out and ended up on the front lawn of a nearby home.
 
38-year-old Garrett died from serious injuries.
 
The driver of the garbage truck suffered minor injuries and declined hospitalization.
