Jaizell Mabin Dies in Long Beach Pedestrian Accident on Pacific Coast Highway

 
LONG BEACH, CA (October 12, 2021) — A man died in a pedestrian crash on Pacific Coast Highway near Lewis Avenue on Wednesday, October 6.
 
According to Long Beach Police, the deadly pedestrian accident happened around 5:50 a.m. A 24-year-old Signal Hill man driving eastbound in a Honda Pilot struck a male pedestrian crossing outside of a marked crosswalk.
 
The Long Beach Police and Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene. 26-year-old Jaizell Mabin died at the scene.
 
The Honda driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officers, police said. However, officers do not believe the driver was impaired, speeding or distracted prior to the impact.
