Monterey Park Car Accident on 60 Freeway, Jacorey Odu Dies
MONTEREY PARK, CA (October 14, 2021) – One person was killed in a multi-car accident on Pomona (60) Freeway in Monterey Park early Sunday morning, October 10.
The accident happened around 4:50 a.m. on the eastbound 60 Freeway at Atlantic Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, at least two vehicles collided for unknown reasons.
First responders provided medical aid, but 32-year-old Jacorey Odu of Austin, Texas, died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Crews raised a SigAlert in the area around 5:06 a.m., closing all eastbound lanes at Atlantic Boulevard for at least one hour while they cleared the wreckage.
The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
