Jacob Kingston Arrested, Passenger Hurt in DUI Accident at The Rib Co restaurant on Twentynine Palms Highway

 
TWENTYNINE PALMS, CA (January 26, 2023) — Officials arrested Jacob Kingston, a 21-year-old resident of Twentynine Palms, after a DUI crash.
 
According to reports, the incident happened around 5:30 p.m. on Monday. January 23. Sheriff’s Deputies rushed to the solo-vehicle crash at The Rib Co restaurant at 72183 Twentynine Palms Highway.
 
Deputies arrived at the restaurant and found Kingston and his passenger still inside the vehicle. Both sustained injuries.
 
Medics administered medical aid to Kingston and the passenger at the scene.
 
There are no other people injured in the incident.
 
Kingston told deputies and officers from CHP that he drank around four drinks before driving. Then he consented to a breathalyzer test. Officials determined he had a blood alcohol content of .16.
 
Officials also determined that Kingston does not have a driver’s license or insurance.
 
Authorities arrested Kingston. He faces charges for driving while intoxicated, being an unlicensed driver, and having no insurance. They booked him at the Morongo Basin Jail.
 
Reports said the damage to the restaurant is around $60,000.
